11pmd Yarrow (Achillea millefolium) Over 100 bioactive ingredients used for hypertension, stop bleeding, and just about everything else. Very good plant to know.
12pmd Red Clover (Trifolium pratenser) Traditionally used for certain cancers but not scientifically proven. Good in salads though--make sure it is not moldy (poisonous if moldy)
13pmd Guelder Rose (Vibernum opulus) Very bitter but can make good jam and antispasmodic medecine. Scientifically shown to be good for menstrual or other cramps and spasms. Unripe berries contain chlorogenic acid, betasitosterol and ursolic acid.

16pmd (Echinacea contributed by Janine Phariss/Blue Sage Naturals, Inc) Popular herbal medicine for almost the whole range of human diseases and scientific studies have confirmed many uses. It is considered to be a nonspecific immune system stimulant and also has insecticidal, bactericidal, and cortisone-like activity. Definitely worth researching!
17pmd Heal-All, All-Heal, Selfheal (Prunella vulgaris) Has antibiotic, hypotensive and antimutagenic qualities. Contains ursolic acid which is antitumor and diuretic.
18pmd Hawthorn (Crataegus......) Proven excellent heart and cardiovascular medicine with no side effects
19pmd Bee Balm (Monarda didyma) Historically, physicians used leaf tea for gas and to expel worms. |
